Steve England
Managing director
Steve’s 40 years of experience ensures he understands the importance of working closely with technical staff and providing a rapid response to challenges. Steve has a broad experience of managing demanding construction contracts whilst building excellent long-term relationships with clients.
Callum Dick
Director & Chairman
Callum’s career has been spent in International Telecoms. He’s developed multiple businesses in the Communications Industry to substantial scale. Callum’s business experience and reputation enhance the leadership team with existing customers as well as developing opportunities with new ones.
Jonathan Harrison
senior contracts manager
Jonathan has spent over 35 years in the construction industry focused on the concrete, communications and power generation fields. He has worked globally in climates from -20*C to + 50*C and still enjoys the challenges of delivering well engineered projects on time and within budget.
Philip Mead
Head of construction
An experienced Construction Manager delivering projects valued between £100k - £5M across multiple sectors. Phil is a member of the Institute of Civil Engineers, Association of Project Management & the Security Institute and has designed, planned & implemented building works, technical fit-outs and physical security upgrades for many clients across the UK.
Julian Tatham
Finance & Office Manager
With over 10 years of experience working within Finance and Operations across multiple sectors, Julian brings a dynamic and varied skillset to AXD. Having worked within fast paced and busy environments across the UK and Middle East, Julian ensures smooth day to day running of the company’s internal Finance practices, Cost Control procedures, Human Resources, Administration, I.T., Marketing and overall Office Management with an organized and efficient approach.
Tom Ryder-Jones
project manager
Tom joined AXD as an apprentice after finishing his A levels. He completed his apprenticeship when he passed his HNC in Construction. Following this he progressed to site management and obtained his SMSTS certification. Tom has continued his progression with AXD by broadening his knowledge through training and qualifications such as NEBOSH. This has allowed Tom to develop professionally and acquire the necessary and desirable skillset of a Project Manager.
Cameron Sandall
Site Manager
Since joining AXD as an apprentice in 2021, Cameron undertook and completed his level 4 HNC which, combined with his SMSTS and extended diploma, has allowed him to support the delivery of projects and progress to the position of Site Manager. The responsibility of ensuring that projects run on time and within budget have enabled Cameron to diversify his skillset.
McKenzie Mitchell
Executive administrator
McKenzie joined AXD in 2021 to assist the business with Human Resources, Administration and day to day ad-hoc tasks for each department. McKenzie has over 20 years experience in various sectors and is currently in training to assist with Finance Administration.
Paul Beard
Project Site manager
Paul started working with Steve England over 20 years ago and has been a Site Manager at AXD for the last 5 years. With 23 years in telecommunications construction, working on small to large projects, Paul has a hands-on approach with all manner of works, both internally and externally. Paul has certifications in operating excavators, dumpers and telehandlers.
Paul Doherty
Project Site manager
Paul is the Managing Director of PCD Civils Ltd and has worked with AXD for many years. Paul is a resourceful, innovative and professional project manager with considerable knowledge of the construction industry. Paul takes a commercial approach to problem solving on Projects and is highly skilled at management and coordination of all construction activites to ensure deliverables are acheived in line with Health & Safety, Quality, Programme and Cost.
Professional Service Partners
AXD work with a number of Professional Service Partners who are expertise in their field and who support the business in specialist areas such as Human Resources, Health & Safety, Quality & Compliance, I.T. and Financial Bookkeeping. AXD have great working relationships with these providers and rely on their experience and knowledge to ensure day-to-day operations run efficiently and remain compliant with the latest technology and governance.
